Course description

With the launch of Horizon 2020, researchers an excellent opportunity to access €71 billion worth of funding for research and innovation purposes. In order to be successful in this highly competitive process you must have a thorough understanding of the complexities involved in applying for the funding. This training course will provide potential applicants with a comprehensive insight into what it takes to successfully access Horizon 2020 funding. It will focus exclusively on collaborative research projects (not ERC and not Marie Sklodowska Curie Actions).

  •     Receive a comprehensive introduction to Horizon 2020 (policy context, structure, budget, support networks)
  •     Acquire a thorough understanding of the rules of participation (funding instruments, eligibility, financial rules)
  •     Gain a step-by-step understanding of the funding application process(identification of funding opportunities, consortium building,evaluation process)
  •     Learn how you can evidence impact and innovation
  •     Practice writing Horizon 2020 proposals based on evidence released so far
  •     Raise your funding questions with experts in the field

Researchers considering applying for the 2017 Horizon 2020 calls and will include hands-on proposal writing exercises.
